As an international conference covering all areas of pharmaceutical R and D, SCIpharm attracts both experienced pharmaceutical researchers and newcomers to the field

The event's organising committee recognises the importance of building networks for both of these groups, and for SCIpharm 2006 (14-17 May 2006 in Edinburgh, Scotland) has introduced the New Investigators programme This will assist newcomers to make the most of the conference

Registration in the New Investigators programme is free and provides many opportunities to those taking part.

These include the New Investigators welcome drinks on Sunday May prior to the main reception, where participants can meet SCIpharm organisers and speakers; introductions to delegates in who share their fields of interest and research; and entrance to a 'careers in pharma' lunch on Monday 15 May.

To register as a new investigator, individuals are asked to tick the box on the event registration form and complete a further form following registration, to outline their areas of interest.

As well as the conference presentations and poster programme, ample networking opportunities and a lively trade exhibition provide a forum to meet with a wide range of colleagues and suppliers to the industry.

And a full programme of events takes place in the exhibition hall.

Early bird registration ends on 16 December 2005 and the deadline for Poster Submissions is 14 January 2006.

Early bird registration provides savings of £100 off the standard registration fee.

Anyone submitting a poster qualifies for a further £50 discount.

Private and public organisations, large and small enterprises, established researchers and students alike are encouraged to submit their work.
