Monitor contamination over a wide area
Radiation contamination monitor uses a sealed, large area, proportional counter tube for the detection of alpha, beta and gamma radiation
Southern Scientific has introduced to the UK a new, large area, high quality contamination monitor from Automesse that it says is ideal for measuring surface contamination in hospitals and health physics laboratories The 6150AD-K comprises a probe that can be fitted to any version of the Automesse range of 6150AD dose rate meters
It uses a sealed, large area, proportional counter tube for the detection of alpha, beta and gamma radiation with the advantage that the monitor is ready for use immediately as the tube requires no filling or flushing prior to use.
This easy to use monitor measures 210x120x90, weighs 1.7kg, and offers a choice of two operating modes, alpha and alpha/bet/gamma.
The measuring range is up to 20,000s-1.
