A new 12-page brochure outlining its comprehensive range of analytical instruments for refining operations is available from Spectro Analytical Instruments

In the field of petroleum based products Spectro is uniquely positioned to offer an extensive range of instrumentation for the on-line and off-line analysis of a wide selection of chemical elements including magnesium, sulphur, chlorine, vanadium, iron, cobalt, nickel, and even uranium This brochure details the multiple locations in and around the refining operation where Spectro instrumentation can be deployed to monitor or measure the process as a bench-top analyser with batch sampling, top-of-the-line XRF analyser for the laboratory analysis of Na to U, ICP spectrometer for ppb analysis of trace elements - including the halogens - or an on-line system with continuous sampling and reporting

Successful analysis applications include; crude oil, gasoline, reformulated gasoline, diesel, kerosene, naphtha, phenol, lubricating oils, residual oil, gas oils, waste oils, wear metals in oils, marine fuels, jet fuel, heating oils, additives and base stock.

The technologies employed by Spectro (XRF, XRT, ICP and E-Chem) are discussed.
