Horizontal gel unit promises flexibility
This all-new unit is designed with the option of four interchangeable gel tray lengths of 7, 10, 15 and 20cm, which can be used without the necessity of changing the outer tank

The first option includes four trays of 10, 15 and 20cm, while the other four options are for single tray selections of 7, 10, 15 and 20cm tray length which are provided with the tank.
Along with the tray(s), two combs are also included.
These are 15 well, 1mm thick, multi channel pipette compatible combs.
They are available in 1, 1.5 and 2mm thickness and with the following well numbers: 1 Prep, 2 Prep, 4 Prep, 10, 15(MC), 20, 25, 30(MC).
Coloured loading strips are included as standard to enhance well visibility during sample loading, while the electrodes have been designed with an asymmetric offset to prevent accidental polarity reversal.
Different tray sizes bring the advantages of a similar sample number and removes the need for pouring very large and hard to manipulate gels as well as agarose saving advantages.
The units incorporate a removable UV transparent gel casting tray with casting gates which allows the gel to be cast either in the running tank or externally.
Vari-Gel units are made from silicone acrylic, a glass like material which enhances run progression visibility.
The 20cm long gel tray has six comb slots to provide a maximum sample capacity of 180 samples.
The 30 sample combs, along with the 15 sample, are multi-channel pipette compatible for maximum convenience.
Easy to replace electrodes and cables make this one of the easiest systems to not only use, but also service and repair.
