Certified reference materials seminar at Pittcon

Spex Certiprep will present the 'Your Questions Answered about Certified Reference Materials' seminar on 10 March at Pittcon 2009 in Chicago.

Ralph Obenauf and Thomas Mancuso, respectively president and vice-president of manufacturing for Spex Certiprep, will organise the workshop, which will include five presentations from Chemical Reference Material Manufacturers Association (CRMMA) member companies.

They will discuss various topics related to certified reference materials.

After the presentations, there will be a question and answer session for all attendees.

The topics to be discussed are: 'A Stable Sulfide Standard: An Alternative to Zinc Acetate Preservation'; 'Reference Materials (Certified or Not) for the Pharmaceutical Industry'; 'Preparation of Reference Materials in the Food Testing Industry'; 'The Need, Use and Implementation of Traceability and Uncertainty Measurements in an Analytical Testing Laboratory'; and 'Relevance of ISO 17025 and ISO Guide 34 to Chemical Reference Materials Manufacturers'.
