'Milestone' in laboratory weighing technology

A Sartorius UK product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Jun 24, 2003

Claimed as a breakthrough and a first monolithic weighing technology has been successfully incorporated into microbalances

For the first time ever, highly innovative monolithic weighing technology has been successfully incorporated into microbalances with the new Competence CP2P and the specially designed CP2P-F for precise weighing of filters in the microgram range.

These two new models both feature all the familiar benefits offered by this technology, such as short response times, excellent repeatability and a high degree of mechanical ruggedness.

Thanks to the built-in motorised calibration weight, the two models can always be operated in the optimal accuracy range simply at the press of a key.

The newly developed glass draft shield on the CP2P features both sufficient illumination of the loaded sample and easy-action doors, offering the best conditions for ergonomic handling of semi-micro quantities.

The specially designed, flat, stainless steel draft shield on the CP2P-F for weighing filters, featuring a rotatable cover, enables fast loading of filters up to a diameter of 120mm.

The CP balance series comes equipped with a bi-directional RS-232 interface port for communicating with a PC.

ISO/GLP-compliant recording of all weighing and calibration data offers optimum support for integrating balances into a quality management system.
