Environmental air monitoring, almost
anywhere
Battery operated air sampler offers critical environmental protection and occupational safety for the food, beverage and hospitals industries using gelatin membrane filter method

The properties of the Sartorius gelatin membrane filters provide what the company says are unequalled bacterial retention levels as high as 99.9995% for Bacillus subtilis niger.
Their ability to measure extremely low bacteria counts via high flow rates makes them ideal for validation and monitoring of critical areas.
The membrane's 3.0mm pore size and large surface area enables you to achieve impressive high volume sample rates in a short period of time.
Finally, the inherent high moisture content of the gelatin membrane filters help to prevent any drying out of collected microorganisms during a sampling period.
After sampling with the MD8 AirPort, the gelatin membrane filter is placed directly on an agar nutrient plate.
The gelatin dissolves on the moist surface so that the microorganisms are in direct contact with the nutrients.
The plates are incubated and the colonies are counted.
The solubility of the gelatin membrane filter also allows for further applications (eg, rapid microbiology, virus sampling and sampling of high bacterial concentrations).
Because the Sartorius MD8 AirPort is battery operated it can be used practically anywhere and there are flexible options for customised use including adjustable air throughput and air flow rate.
Parameters last used are stored even after automatic shut-off and calibration can occur on site so you won't be without a unit for routine servicing. Request a free brochure from Sartorius UK ...
