Green Champion status was awarded to Starlab for pioneering the laboratory waste recycling collection scheme.
The design of Starlab's TipOne pipette tip system already reduces waste by allowing racks to be reused with the refill system.
However, Starlab realised that a lot of plastic was still ending up in landfill sites and decided to do something to address this problem.
Starlab says ir was the first company to offer tip users in the UK a regular and easy way to recycle their plastic laboratory waste.
Starlab is committed to the recycling scheme and continually strives to improve the service so it is of greater benefit to both the environment and their customers.
The recycling service is open to all Starlab customers at no extra cost.
If you are not already part of the scheme and would like to join please contact Starlab.
