Specimen holder for analysis of difficult samples
Multipurpose specimen holder for the microscopic analysis of fibres, films, and difficult shaped samples is designed to be easily attached to the stage of most types of microscope
PrepScope is a patented digital microscope fully integrated with micro sampling tools.
The system has its own 2" LCD monitor and readily connects to an external TV monitor or PC/Mac.
Samples can be observed in transmittance and in reflectance.
Four objectives (1.3x, 4x, 10x, 40x) are supplied as a standard.
The 2" monitor provides magnification 11x, 34x, 80x, 340x; an external 17" monitor: 70x, 160, 400x, 1630x.
Electronic zooming of up to 3.0x is permitted without changing objectives.
A 4MB Smart Media provides Jpeg image capture with up to 60 images in the VGA standard.
A built-in CPU automatically sets proper lighting conditions.
Software for picture processing an enhancement is included.
A micro sampling tool holder attaches to the PrepScope objectives.
This arrangement allows the tool tip to be easily maintained in focus with the sample.
By movement of the microscope stage in x/z direction, specimens can be manipulated.
Various micro tools can be inserted into the holder.
Included are: needle probes, a micro sampling knife and a diamond micro plane, to scrape off the surface of the specimen.
