Environmental microscopy with image annotation
New accessory specifically designed to allow the study of humidity-induced phenomena by microscopy enhanced with video text overlay signal for image annotation
Key applications for the VGI 2000M include moisture induced phase transitions, swelling of particles and granules, degradation and caking of foodstuffs, capillary condensation and bridging, microbial growth, and dissolution of solids.
In conjunction with an IR or Raman microscope it is possible to study formation of hydrates, polymorphic transitions, selective hydration phenomena, surface heterogeneity maps, molecular structure changes, and deliquescence %RH.
A wide range of applications data for light and FT-IR microscopy are available.
Key VGI 2000M features are: standard microscope slide sample mounting, easy to use digital controller interface, double glazed optical windows, transmission or reflection illumination, temperature range 15-40C (at 25C ambient), temperature accuracy ±0.1C, humidity range 0-95%RH, humidity accuracy ±1.5%RH, optional organic vapour kit, and optional PC interface.
