Accurate chemiluminescent and florescent
results

Sample quantification of unprecedented accuracy allows users to capture and analyse hard to see images across a range of wavelengths

Syngene, a manufacturer of image analysis solutions, has introduced the new ChemiGenius2 XE, its most sensitive image analyser to-date The system is said to provide sample quantification of unprecedented accuracy by ensuring users can capture and analyse hard to see chemiluminescent or fluorescent images across a range of wavelengths

ChemiGenius2 XE is unique because its camera offers the world's highest quantum efficiency for its type.

This is the amount of light a camera's chip can detect at a specific wavelength and convert to useable signal.

Using ChemiGenius2 XE at 500nm (CPD Star's optimum luminescence wavelength) the camera has 75% quantum efficiency and at 420nm (the maximum emission wavelength of ECL) it is over 60%.

This means the camera detects between 10 and 20% more light than any other on the market today and benefits users with precise sample quantification.

Based on 16 bit image technology, ChemiGenius2 XE also includes Syngene's exclusive Firewire system to allow scientists to capture images in real-time, thus saving time with positioning gels or blots and adjusting optics.

With megapixel resolution of 1360 x 1024 pixels (the highest possible resolving power of any system in its class) the ChemiGenius2 XE can easily separate images of close bands or spots.

The system comes completely integrated in its own safe, light-tight darkroom.

It includes Syngene's one-click GeneTools analysis software for applications such as automated band matching, gel scoring, lane analysis and colony counting.

Paul Ellwood, Syngene's sales and marketing director, said: "We are very excited to add such a high specification analyser to our successful Genius range. Request a free brochure from Syngene ...

We are looking forward to demonstrating the ChemiGenius2 XE's matchless capabilities to any scientists whose DNA or protein research demands optimum sensitivity and performance.".
