SyTech Releases XLReporter 2.0
Provider of automated report generation and data analysis software announces the availability of XLReporter 2.0, featuring advanced historian data sources and tools
It says the software is the most cost effective application for automatically interfacing to any data source, creating a report in Excel, turning the report into actionable information and then sending it to printers, email, fileservers and web servers.
XLReporter 5.0 extends its impressive list of supported data sources with customised historical interfaces to GE Fanuc Intellution's iHistorian 2.0 and Rockwell Software's RSView History Logs.
Both interfaces include SyTech's 'iterator' technology to simplify the generation of drill down and batch reports.
This version takes reporting beyond simply getting values into an Excel worksheet.
With the analysis functionality in version 5.0, raw data can be easily, and automatically, turned into meaningful information to make reports come alive.
Report formatting, colour coding 'out of bounds', filters, sorts are all included.
More complex functions such as covariance, correlation, moving average and frequency distribution are also provided.
Security issues and data integrity are solved with Workbook pass codes or the use of the encrypted PDF output option.
In the latter case, Adobe Acrobat is not required.
"This release makes XLReporter one of the best products for creating Excel reports," explains Peter Kaprielian, president and CTO of SyTech.
"Using our designer, the user simply builds a report template in the comfortable environment of Excel and then configures XLReporter to do the rest automatically".
"This approach to reporting is in line with our goal to provide clients with ever improving solutions that produce a return on investment in both time and cost.".
