Screening pressure reactor wins R+D100 award

Symyx Technologies has announced that the Symyx screening pressure reactor (SPR) has won an R+D100 award.

The instrument was selected for the award by an independent judging panel and the editors of R+D Magazine.

The Symyx SPR is a high-throughput research system enabling up to a 100-fold increase in the speed of screening and optimising catalysts and catalytic processes.

It is available for refining, petrochemical and organic, and fine chemical applications.

Other uses include research of sulphur and nitrogen removal to produce clean fuels, applications in emerging catalytic fields, as well as applications in the discovery of biopharmaceutical drugs.
