Tecan has launched Freedom Evo 75, which it says is a unique compact laboratory liquid handling system for medium throughput applications.

The new compact automation system joins the Freedom Evo family, which allows laboratories to automate laboratory procedures for genomics, proteomics and drug discovery applications.

Freedom Evo 75's compact bench-top size makes it a good solution for laboratories where space is limited.

It uses the same software and major mechanical and electronic components as the larger members of the Evo family, thereby providing the same superior liquid handling performance, reliability and flexibility.

The Freedom Evo 75 supports fixed tips as well as disposable tips.

It is controlled by the Evoware software, which provides what Tecan says is an unrivalled combination of flexibility and ease of use for beginners and experts alike.

This makes the setting-up of complex multi-device schedules easy and efficient.

Evoware offers the flexibility to control the freedom Evo platforms with Tecan devices for detection, separation, plate handling and storage as well as other third party devices.
