Infinite 200 wins DLReady certification

A Tecan Group product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 26, 2007

Tecan's Infinite 200 multimode microplate readers have been certified DLReady by Promega, which has tested the instruments for the Dual-Luciferase Reporter (DLR) assay system

This reporter gene technology is widely used for measuring gene regulation in biological studies.

It assays the activities of two luciferase enzymes, firefly and Renilla, providing rapid and sensitive quantitation of the reporter enzymes in microplate-based assays.

The Infinite 200 series is an automated and modular platform that offers eight different fluorescence, luminescence and absorbance detection modes in a single platform.

Its three sets of advanced optics and high performance detectors provide uncompromised plate reading for the complete range of life science applications.

The Infinite 200 series is suitable for sample measurements in 6- to 384-well plates, PCR plates or cuvettes, and is available with either an advanced monochromator system (M200) or a filter system (F200).

The Infinite M200 features Tecan's exclusive quad4 monochromators technology, which blocks stray light by up to one million times more than typical dual monochromator configurations.

The technology provides outstanding levels of sensitivity and high quality wavelength spectra in all measurement modes.
