Low cost flow transmitter for larger
pipes
Shunt type glass tube variable area flowmeter offers the most cost-effective method of accurate fluid flow measurement in both gases and liquids in larger pipes up to 200mm
Manufactured by Influx Measurements and distributed by Techniquip, the Deltaflux shunt type flow meter use the same technique of monitoring the float position in the glass tube using a field sensor as the tried and tested in Reflux models The two wire 4-20mA loop 24VDC powered output allows remote transmission of flow rate, for use in discrete indicator, controller, Scada and BMS systems

Mtec 2004 preview: ABB
ABB will be presenting the latest technology from its comprehensive range of instrumentation products and systems at Mtec 2004 (Birmingham NEC, 11-12 February 2004)
Flow ranges available from 2m3/hr and 20Nm3/hr air in a 38mm pipe up to 1000m3/hr H2O and 7000Nm3/hr air in a 200mm pipe. The loop-powered transmitter is available with EEXia (Atex) certification for use in hazardous areas.
Pressure rating up to 20 bar is standard.
The float is still visible as in a conventional glass tube variable area flowmeter, retaining the normal flow indication often preferred by site operators.
The Deltaflux flow transmitter brings the advantages and low cost of variable area technology into modern electronic control systems.
