HPLC column for HTP screening
These columns achieve average efficiencies of 70,000N/m, similar to standard microbore hardware efficiencies, but at a significantly lower cost
Thermo Electron introduces a new HPLC column designed for high throughput screening Based on the popular Javelin direct-connection guard column design, Javelin Express columns are now available in 50mm lengths for increased resolving power

Available in eight premium Thermo Electron phases, Javelin Express columns offer a robust, inexpensive screening tool.
These columns achieve average efficiencies of 70,000N/m, similar to standard microbore hardware efficiencies, but at a significantly lower cost.
The Javelin Express column design maximizes efficiency while minimising cost during the drug discovery process.
Delivering hassle free direct connection, the Javelin Express column offers efficient screening of any LC method.
With a patented internal seat and fingertight fittings, the column is convenient to use and easy to change.
The 1/16" CPI tip for direct connection to the detector minimises band spreading which leads to poor peak shape.
Javelin Express columns come in a standard 50x2.1mm size for use with both APCI and ESI interfaces.
The short, slim, direct connection design of the Javelin Express column also allows for either the use of one column directly connected to the detector, or multiple columns connected to a switching valve.
They are ideal for walk up instruments and high throughput LC/MS.
The range of Thermo Electron phases available in the 50mm Javelin design is ideal for a range of analytical challenges, from the simplest to the most difficult LC methods.
With eight phases available (Hypurity C18, Hypurity Aquastart, Hypurity Cyano, Biobasic 18, Betabasic 18, Aquasil C18, Betasil C18, and Fluophase PFP) finding the appropriate selectivity is said to be never a problem.
