Single quadrupole LC/MS detector extends HPLC detection sensitivity and has been designed for the separation scientist to run routine HPLC applications more effectively

Thermo Electron has launched its next generation single quadrupole LC/MS detector - the Finnigan Surveyor MSQ Plus.

Principally targeted at chromatographers in the pharmaceutical and drug discovery environments, the Finnigan Surveyor MSQ Plus extends HPLC detection sensitivity and has been designed for the separation scientist to run routine HPLC applications more effectively.

This new LC/MS detector will be exhibited in Thermo's booth at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists conference, Baltimore, Maryland, 7-11 November 2004.

Unknown chromatographic peaks can appear during the development and manufacturing of drugs, chemicals, natural products, and environmental samples.

The Finnigan Surveyor MSQ Plus offers rapid and clear mass identification for chromatographic peaks and is fully optimised for chromatography workflows, enabling chromatographers to identify peaks with increased confidence.

Measuring a mere 30cm wide and said to be the market's smallest and most powerful single quadrupole mass spectrometer, it provides what Thermo says is unsurpassed performance and ruggedness in an easy-to-use, highly sensitive instrument.
