Reproducible and sensitive QPCR results
Thermo Fisher Scientific specialises in the provision of optimised consumables for highly reproducible, sensitive and accurate QPCR assays, including ABsolute Blue QPCR master mixes
This coloured range of high performance QPCR master mixes is specially formulated to achieve sensitive and consistent data across each of the major QPCR platforms while enhancing the contrast between reagent and plastic to ensure accurate dispensing - factors that researchers worldwide are now appreciating Evangelia Siaterli, contract services manager at Oxford Expression Technologies, UK, comments: "Now that I'm using the ABsolute Blue Master Mix, I get consistent and reproducible data across all my QPCR runs, together with improved reaction sensitivity

"The fact that it is blue makes it different from other mixes, as it improves the contrast between the reagents and the plate.
"This allows me to visualise accurate dispensing of the master mix in each well, which is extremely useful, especially when dealing with a large number of reactions".
The combination of Thermo Scientific Thermo-Start, a chemically-modified hot start Taq DNA polymerase, and the incorporation of dTTP instead of dUTP in ABsolute Blue Master Mixes ensures increased reaction sensitivity and specificity.
In trials, ABsolute Blue produced higher end-point values and lower Ct values when compared to competitor QPCR master mixes.
In addition, the inclusion of an inert blue dye helps users to easily verify accurate dispensing, thus increasing confidence in results.
There is an optimised ABsolute Blue Master Mix available for all major QPCR platforms and detection chemistries.
These mixes belong to the Thermo Scientific range of high performance QPCR consumables, including specialised QPCR plates and seals, which have been developed to ensure optimal fluorescence detection.
