New case study published on creation of an integrated software suite for high throughput screening data management at Avantium

Thermo LabSystems has published a new full-colour case study on the company's collaborative project with Netherlands-based Avantium Technologies to develop an integrated informatics suite for the automation of high throughput screening (HTS) data management.

The case study details the integration of Avantium's in-house developed VirtualLab experimental data management database with Thermo's Nautilus Lims and eRecordManager long term analytical data archival solutions to support Avantium's processes from the experimental design phase through lab automation to data analysis and storage.

Over four pages, the case study comprehensively describes the project, including historical background, detail on key system requirements, the programme of workshops to determine system configuration requirements and an overview of the total solution in operation.

Avantium's use of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) as a format standard for file transfer and storage is also described in detail.

Thermo LabSystems' Avantium Technologies case study is available free of charge worldwide for customers and users from all industries considering their future laboratory informatics requirements.
