LIMS support for Asia Pacific region
Thermo LabSystems has announced that it has created an informatics geocenter to provide enhanced technical support to its customers operating in the Asia Pacific region.

The first phase in this initiative sees Thermo LabSystems' facilities in Adelaide, South Australia; Perth, Western Australia; Singapore and Japan providing co-ordinated implementation services and day-to-day hotline telephone support for the company's customers in countries such as Australia, Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand.
Bob Blunden, director of Asia Pacific Region at Thermo LabSystems, commented: "I am delighted to be able to offer support for our products, and deliver associated services, to all countries in our time zone from our time zone.
Our plans for early 2003 include the development of existing skills and capabilities and the recruitment of further specialist personnel to ensure all resources are available to serve this strategically important region.
Of course, along with our customers, we will continue to enjoy the backup of our Thermo Electron colleagues from across the world, most notably in Europe and North America".
