Thermo Electron has developed a new datasheet aimed at the chemical and petrochemical industries to provide an overview of the capabilities of its flagship Lims, SampleManager This free document is available to download in pdf format

Entitled 'SampleManager Laboratory Information Management System (Lims) - the Enterprise Lims for chemical and petrochemical companies', it is aimed at scientists, information technology people, and decision-makers in global organisations in the process industries.

As well as providing an overview of the data processing capabilities of Thermo's SampleManager Lims, the new datasheet discusses the challenges facing process industry organisations in deploying enterprise software and makes a case for standardising on a single product.

Thermo's Lims is a key component, being scalable for a multi-site, multi-lingual user base.

This brochure cites an independent study, commissioned by Thermo, confirming the overall savings to be made in global total cost of ownership of Lims, and introduces the concept of ensuring product quality while minimising delays and downtime, all of which are priorities for the process industry.

Thermo says SampleManager Lims helps ensure accurate flow of data between the laboratory and the rest of the organisation, working seamlessly to increase productivity via better data flow and faster data-driven decision-making.
