Atlas enhancements on show at Achema

Thermo Electron will demonstrate enhancements made to Atlas CDS, winner of a 2005 Product of the Year Award for chromatography data systems, at Achema 2006

Following a major stability release with version 8.0 in June 2005, Atlas 8.1 includes major improvements to the instrument control architecture to enhance network resilience.

A key focus of the release was to ensure secure, robust communication between the instrument and Atlas software.

Atlas now has the ability to import Beckman PeakPro and ThruPut Target data files natively.

Enhancements have also been made to the instrument control and spectral functionality in the system.

Atlas is built for enterprise applications, providing a single solution that not only integrates data streams from multiple instruments manufactured by multiple vendors, but also tightly integrates with Lims that typically store summary results for each analysis.

Tight integration between the Lims and CDS enables users to access critical data when faced with a decision where the QA/QC source data is needed immediately.

The robust enhancements and interoperability with Thermo's Lims are designed for consistent reporting and shared data that increases productivity.

Atlas joins purpose-built Lims solutions in Thermo's market-leading informatics portfolio.

Thermo is best known for its enterprise Lims solution, SampleManager, a leading solution for industrial process labs, and Watson Lims, the solution most used in bioanalytical laboratories.
