Thermo will showcase its comprehensive suite of commercial-off-the-shelf (Cots) Lims, enterprise-wide Lims and CDS solutions at Het Instrument 2006, October 30-November 3, Utrecht, Netherlands

In response to the prominent need of the pharmaceutical industry for Cots software that reduces reliance on costly, time-consuming and risky customisations, Thermo offers an extensive range of purpose-built laboratory information management systems (Lims) These include a much higher proportion of required functionality in the base system compared with generic Lims

At the same time, Thermo continues to offer its enterprise-wide solution for process industries, as well as an enterprise CDS that integrates with Lims for increased productivity and greater knowledge from laboratory data.

Thermo's informatics exhibit at Het Instrument 2006 will feature:.

Darwin Lims - Thermo's latest Cots software, designed specifically for pharmaceutical manufacturing R+D and QA/QC.

Watson Lims - Thermo's highly specialised protocol-driven Cots Lims, specifically designed to support drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic (DMPK) studies in drug discovery and development.

SampleManager Lims 9.0 - Thermo's flagship for industrial laboratories has adopted the open, industry standard Microsoft .net platform while continuing to support existing customers' code written in the VGL language.

Nautilus Lims 7.1 - developed to address the specific needs of R+D, drug discovery and biotechnology industries.
