XRF spectrometer has enhanced features
Instrument exploits the full potential of wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence for the analysis of metals, ceramics, inorganic chemicals, petrochemicals, polymers, and more
Thermo Electron has introduced a new version of its ARL Advant'x sequential XRF spectrometer.
The ARL Advant'x+ is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for elemental analysis with enhanced performance and sensitivity.
The ARL Advant'x+ exploits the full potential of wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence for the analysis of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ceramics, refractories, glass, inorganic chemicals, petrochemicals, polymers, cement, mining and environmental-related applications.
Compared to its predecessor, the power of the X-ray tube has been doubled to 1200W, which further improves limits of detection and precision.
Apart from the well-known universal gearless goniometer, the instrument can be fitted with the new compact SmartGonio, a cost-effective alternative.
The analytical capabilities of the SmartGonio can be enhanced with the use of the associated OptiQuant package.
OptiQuant provides standardless analysis for up to 73 elements when specific standards are not available, or when samples can only be obtained in small quantities or as irregular shapes.
The ARL Advant'x+ benefits from a re-engineered innovative design for increased sensitivity, allowing flexible or optimised configurations.
The instrument is versatile enough to handle the most challenging analyses of solids, powders and liquids by considerably simplifying the process with the latest technological developments in X-ray tubes, sample handling systems, software packages and calibration.
