Each analyser is designed for a defined purpose.
Modern refinery processes require specific analytical solutions to achieve optimal performance when performing sulphur analyses.
Consequently, each analyser has to be designed to deal with particular analytical challenges to avoid compromising results.
Combining sensitivity, reliability, robustness and ease-of-use, Thermo offers tailored and custom-made solutions for total sulphur analysis suited to individual applications, environments and marketplaces.
Users are said to benefit from their simple and effective design, low utility requirements, unparalleled accuracy and precision, comprehensive diagnostics and superior data communications.
These features set Thermo's instruments apart from standard analysers currently available on the market, the company claims.
The ECS 1200 and TS 3000 analysers, for example, are able to measure total sulphur rapidly and accurately in a wide range of solid, high viscous, liquid and gaseous samples.
They can also be upgraded to include functionality to perform total chlorine analysis.
The ARL Optim'X is a user-friendly WDXRF system incorporating Thermo's unique SmartGonio technology for analysis of elements from fluoride (F) to uranium (U).
It can also be fitted with multichromators for simultaneous analysis and it does not require any water cooling.
The Sola II has been designed for producers of low sulphur motor fuels and is said to be the ideal analyser for measuring and controlling gas or liquid phase sample sulphur content.
Finally, the Sphincx multi-elemental bench top analyser features a unique four-in-one configuration allowing it to conduct analysis of total sulphur (TS), total nitrogen (TN), total carbon (TC) and total chlorine (TX) with a single instrument.
