Drying chamber provides the optimum controlled temperature and humidity environment for achieving ideal chromosome spreading results for both in situ and non-in situ cultures

When preparing cytogenetic slides, it has been shown that controlling the drying rate of the metaphase cells gives consistency of optimum chromosome spreading A simple way to achieve this consistency and speed up the testing is to use a Thermotron CDS-5 cytogenetic drying chamber, developed in cooperation with the Mayo clinic

Thermotron says the CDS-5 provides the optimum controlled temperature and humidity environment for achieving ideal chromosome spreading results for both in situ and non-in situ cultures, including PHA simulated lymphocytes, bone marrow, amniocytes and fibroblast.

The CDS-5 chamber is very easy to use with specially designed arm ports which provide maximum manoeuvrability in the workspace, with excellent visibility provided by the polycarbonate door, internal storage for slide preparation supplies and an internal light, ensures that routine slide preparation is precise and very convenient.
