Thermo's history in developing centrifuges has enabled the company to produce a user-friendly micro-centrifuge specifically to ensure fast and safe sample separation for molecular biology applications.
The Espresso micro-centrifuge design features a small footprint and quiet operation to expedite and improve the centrifugation process.
The large digital display is visible from both seated and standing positions.
In addition, its unique twelve-place rotor makes loading and unloading the 250l to 2.0ml samples simple and straightforward.
The highly durable non-corrosive plastic rotor enables the use of filter-based preps and is simple to remove, allowing the rotor to be fully autoclaved and cleaned using strong disinfectants.
This not only makes the Espresso micro-centrifuge ideal for general bench use, but also for more specific applications such as sensitive nucleic acid, protein and cell preparations.
The Espresso micro-centrifuge offers fast acceleration and deceleration and 14,500 xg spin, making it ideal for basic spin-downs as well as complex protocols.
It features a 99 minute timer, with one minute increments.
The timer is accompanied by pulse and hold functions to maximise the range of processes.
Built to high quality standards, the micro-centrifuge incorporates a brush-less motor which requires virtually no maintenance.
The Espresso micro-centrifuge is a cost-effective system for individual users who need a personal unit to run specific protocols throughout the day.
Its affordability also allows laboratories to purchase a number of micro-centrifuges to accommodate dedicated processes for multiple users.
