Tristel for Labs sporicidal disinfectants can be used for the decontamination of in vitro diagnostic medical devices, isolators, hoods, cabinets, centrifuges, work surfaces, benches, floors and walls

With the EU Biocidal Products Directive having recently required the withdrawal of a number of substances, including phenolic-based products, laboratories are seeking safe, effective alternatives to traditional biocides Many have turned to Tristel's chlorine dioxide based disinfectants and the company now offers Tristel for Labs, a comprehensive system designed to meet the various decontamination needs of the laboratory

Increasingly their use is being incorporated into laboratories' disinfection codes of practice.

The system comprises Tristel Duo foam, Tristel Fuse liquid and Tristel T1DC concentrate.

Dispensed as a foam, Tristel Duo allows easy application, in Class 1 microbiological safety cabinets for example.

It kills organisms on a surface with a contact time of just 30 seconds and is effective against a wide range including MRSA, Norovirus, Clostridium difficile, Bacillus subtilis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Acinetobacter baumanii.

Tristel Fuse for Labs is a liquid solution prepared in Tristel's unique 'burstable sachet' for the rapid generation of two litres of chlorine dioxide solution.

It can be used for decontaminating in vitro diagnostic test equipment, centrifuges, discard pots and work surfaces, and is sporicidal with a contact time of only five minutes.

Tristel One Day Concentrate for Labs (T1DC) is a liquid solution prepared from Tristel Base and Activator concentrates dispensed from metered dosage bottles.

These allow the preparation of any required volume of Tristel sporicidal disinfectant, even small volumes, so avoiding any wastage.
