Originally developed for the high performance Finnigan TSQ Quantum Ultra series triple stage quadrupole mass spectrometers, the Ion Max source now becomes the universal ion source for all Finnigan Ion Trap mass spectrometers.
It features rapidly interchangeable ESI (electrospray ionisation), nanospray, and APCI (atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation) probes.
Optimum probe x, y, and z positioning is accomplished without tools.
This unique design therefore ensures tool-less interchangeability of source probes, source removal and source installation.
It also provides new convenient view ports.
The Finnigan LCQ mass spectrometers will benefit from a common platform with the rest of the ion trap family, including the recently introduced high performance Finnigan LTQ and Finnigan LTQ FT, and the Finnigan TSQ Quantum Ultra series triple stage quadrupole mass spectrometers.
The Finnigan LCQ Deca XP mass spectrometer is already well established as the benchmark ion trap mass spectrometer for reliable metabolite identification and general LC/MSn structural elucidation analyses of mixtures in complex matrices.
The LCQ Advantage has a reputation for ruggedness, reliability and ease of use for the routine HPLC environment.
It provides high productivity compound identification and can boost analytical power with library searchable MS/MS.
