Torrey Pines Scientific has announced the new EchoTherm model IN30 bench top chilling incubator which controls from 4.0C to 70.0C - even at or near room temperature

The IN30 is Peltier-based for heating and chilling and as such it has no compressors or CFCs and is virtually vibration-free making it ideal for doing protein crystallisation This unit is ideal for use in pharmaceutical, biotech, biochemistry, clinical, and other life science laboratories

Other applications include incubating marine samples below room temperature, enzyme reactions and deactivations, hybridisations, ligations, storing oocytes, and general lab incubations.

The IN30 features PID temperature control, digital display, accuracy to 0.1C, an RS232 I/O port for remote control and data collection, digital timer in hours, minutes and seconds with user settable auto-off, and an audible alarm.

The compact unit has a chamber size of 12inches high by 10 deep by 14 wide, and comes with two stainless steel racks with room for four.

The overall size is 15.5 high by 18.5 deep by 22inches wide.

The IN30 comes with a universal power supply that operates from 100VAC to 265VAC, 50/60 Hz and 12 volts DC and it is UL, C-UL, and CE certified.
