European distributor appointed
Molecular Dimensions selected by TTP LabTech as sole European distributor to protein crystallographers
TTP LabTech has chosen Molecular Dimensions as sole distributor for Mosquito in structural biology, recognising its reputation and contribution in the highly specialised field of protein crystal growth Jas Sanghera, TTP LabTech's commercial director, explained the decision "Protein crystallography is an increasingly important tool for structural biology and Mosquito offers a number of benefits to protein crystallographers

"Securing this distributorship in Europe helps us in our aim of providing our customers with the best products and materials for protein crystal growth.
Mosquito is the ideal liquid handling tool for setting up protein crystallisation drops, satisfying the high throughput demands of structural genomics and pharmaceutical lead discovery projects.
As an exciting new technology for nanolitre volume liquid handling, mosquito offers the ability to prepare sitting drop or microbatch protocols in all commercially available 96-well crystallography plates, and provides a unique solution for hanging drop in a 96-well format." Mosquito uses a continuous reel of miniature precision pipettes mounted on a bandolier to combine the performance of fixed head dispensers with the convenience of disposable tips.
Each pipette is a positive displacement device capable of precisely and reliably dispensing aliquots of between 50nl and 1.2µl of protein solution and the wide range of reagents typically used in screening for protein crystal growth.
