Merger means a 'highly competitive entry price point' for a laser-scanning fluorescence microplate reader

Following the merger of the screening interests of two of TTP group's operating companies - Acumen Bioscience and TTP LabTech - the Explorer range has been refocused around a single, fully upgradeable instrument to meet the differing demands of users.

The changes have permitted a price reduction across the range, heralding what is described as a highly competitive entry price point for Explorer.

The consolidation of the Explorer within TTP LabTech's product range also offers existing and future customers an enhanced level of service and support.

"The efficiency improvements generated by the Acumen-TTP LabTech merger has enabled us to significantly reduce the price of Explorers, while enabling us to expand our service and support team" said Jas Sanghera, TTP LabTech's commercial director.

"We believe customers will be delighted by the pricing structure and impressed by the new level of service".

The Acumen Explorer is a laser-scanning fluorescence microplate reader that enables the development and execution of powerful cell-based high content screens.

The instrument is in active use in major pharmaceutical and drug discovery companies throughout the world.
