Screening innovation drives big orders

A TTP LabTech product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Jan 29, 2007

Following the significant interest generated in the Acumen eX3 microplate cytometer at its SBS launch in late 2006, TTP LabTech has revealed that sales have reached US$2m for the quarter

With site demonstrations running at an unprecedented level, orders for the Acumen eX3 have been received from screening laboratories worldwide.

This news comes as TTP LabTech release figures for 2006 that yet again reflect 35% year-on-year growth.

According to commercial director Jas Sanghera, this demand demonstrates the increased awareness of the real benefits this technology can bring to the HCS laboratory.

"We have been extremely pleased with the interest so far.

"I think the popularity of the Acumen eX3 really lies in the amount of information it can provide the scientist.

"The eX3 not only offers three lasers which significantly increase the variety of fluorescent reagents that are compatible, but also, by screening every cell in every well, it provides robust data even for rare event assays such as mitotic index or stem cell differentiation.

"This flexibility at high throughout has proved invaluable to our customers and is reflected in our sales figures.
