The one day workshop has been scheduled to offer scientists, including laboratory managers, materials scientists and chemists, a total introduction to the new technique of ultrasonic spectroscopy.
As well as providing an overview of a range of applications, the seminar is intended to provide a session on data analysis and interpretation, plus sample analysis by ultrasound.
The team of specialists from Ultrasonic and Heath will also demonstrate how to design experiments and provide a demonstration of the award-winning HR-US instrument.
Experiments will be performed from the following applications: DNA binding studies.
Enzyme kinetics.
Ligand polymer binding.
Phase transitions.
Structural analysis/particle sizing.
Coagulation and gelation processes.
HPLC detection.
Antibody/ antigen interactions.
Surfactant aggregates.
Emulsion stability.
Micelle formation.
Hydration.
The Ultrasonic Spectroscopy Workshop is free of charge on a first-come first-served basis.
Starting at 10am, the seminar runs all day until 4pm.
