A new high-resolution spectrometer takes centre stage, aiming to move ultrasonic technology from hospitals and submarines into the pharmaceutical laboratory
Ultrasonic Scientific's new Titration Kinetic Analyser will be launched in Europe at Analytica 2004.
This new high-resolution ultrasonic instrument measures microstructural and molecular processes in liquids when concentration of selected compounds is changed (titration), or with time, when a chemical reaction is started by an injection of a required compound.
Also on show is Ultrasonic Scientific's new customer-driven spectrometry software which said to be four times faster than the previous version, and with a range of added features.
The company's extensive range of new accessories/external plug-in modules for the HR-US 102 high-resolution spectrometer is also being showcased.
These accessories transform the HR-US 102 spectrometer, which was originally designed for analysis of liquid systems, into a platform for performing a wide range of additional analytical functions.
Amongst these accessories is the new titration accessory which allows enhanced analysis of intermolecular interactions, ligand binding, aggregation processes, gelation and phase transitions amongst others.
The titration accessory enables measurement of the associated microstructural and molecular rearrangements in the sample and allows precision change in concentration of selected chemical components in the ultrasonic cell.
Ultrasonic Scientific is on stand 220, hall A4 at Analytica 2004, 11-14 May 2004 in Munich, Germany.
