FT-IR spectrometers promise unrivalled
performance

Varian has announced its new 600-IR series of FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared) spectrometers, microscopes and imaging systems

The series comprises a range of products for both routine analyses and advanced research applications FT-IR spectroscopy provides a simple, fast analytical tool to identify or characterize samples in a wide range of applications from QA/QC testing of raw materials in pharmaceutical laboratories to the detection of trace amounts of explosives or narcotics in forensic analysis

FT-IR spectroscopy also has the ability to reveal the chemical fingerprint of a material, even in mixtures, allowing multiple materials to be identified simultaneously.

Commonly used with a wide range of accessories such as ATR (attenuated total reflectance), microscopes and imaging, FT-IR has pioneered new applications in areas such as biotechnology, food and agriculture and homeland security.

The Varian 600-IR series of spectrometers deliver the highest energy throughput, making them the ideal solution for research or method development applications.

Designed for unrivalled performance, this new range of spectrometers and microscopes enables users to run samples faster, while maintaining the highest accuracy and reproducibility, saving both time and money.

Combining power with simplicity, the Varian 600-IR series intuitive, easy-to-use software and plug-and-play hardware simplify analyses and maximise output for both novice and expert users.

The ability for users to upgrade their new instrumentation ensures that they can purchase a system that fits their budget today and will meet their needs in the future.

"The 600-IR series offers unrivalled performance under real world conditions," said Martin O'Donoghue, senior vice president, scientific instruments, Varian. Request a free brochure from Varian ...
