Digest samples safely and cleanly
System for the wet digestion of samples and the safe removal and neutralisation of corrosive fumes generated during digestion without the need of a fume hood
This system has been designed to operate in accordance with standard analytical procedures, for food, feed and environmental analysis: AOAC, EPA, DIN, ISO The system consists of the DK6 or DK20 digester, which can digest up to 6 or 20 samples respectively, combined with the very efficient JP jet pump and SMS scrubber, for the aspiration and neutralisation of corrosive fumes generated during digestion

Innovative recirculating water vacuum pump
Designed for the removal of acid and toxic fumes from wet digestions of samples in food and feed or environmental analysis, it is also ideal for applications which require non pulsating suction
The system is suitable for all standard digestions of aqueous solutions and solid samples, including those for Kjeldahl determination of nitrogen and protein content.
A large variety of samples can be digested for analysis including food, feed, soil, water, sludge, paper, oil, lubricant, fuel oil, rubber and resin.
The connection of the DK6 or DK20 to the JP recirculating water jet pump and the SMS scrubber, via connection hosing and vacuum cap, permits the complete removal of fumes generated during digestion without the need of a fume hood.

The DK6 and DK20 digesters operate in accordance with GLP and carry out uniform, reproducible and safe digestions, while saving space and chemicals.
The DK6 and DK20's heating blocks contain 6 and 20 holes respectively and hold glass test tubes of 42mm diameter.
The innovative JP recirculating water vacuum pump is programmed to operate at the optimal sucking power for the most effective removal of acid and corrosive fumes generated by the digester at different stages of the digestion.
Because the JP water jet pump is a stand alone unit which recirculates the water contained in its reservoir, it uses much less water compared to a standard water jet vacuum pump.
It is also not reliant on tap water pressure or tap water availability to generate a strong and stable vacuum.
The JP jet pump can generate very high air flow, up to 35l/min, making it suitable for other applications such as rotary evaporators, vacuum filtration apparatus and other applications that require non-pulsating suction.
The SMS scrubber unit, thanks to its two stage configuration of condensation and chemical neutralisation, permits the complete removal and neutralisation of corrosive and toxic fumes passing through it.
The solutions that it removes can then be safely disposed of very simply, avoiding emission of polluting substances to the atmosphere and the working environment.
This instrument works best when used in conjunction with the JP jet pump.
