When the JP jet pump is connected to the Velp Scientifica SMS scrubber, they combine to form a very efficient system for the aspiration and neutralisation of toxic and corrosive fumes generated by digestions in the DK6 and DK20 digesters.
This system is designed according to official procedures (AOAC, EPA, DIN, ISO) and permits the operation of the DK digesters without the use of a fume hood.
The JP jet pump allows the user to select two different time related programmes.
These give the optimal sucking power for the removal of acid and corrosive fumes coming from the digester.
The suction is varied because the volume of fumes generated during different phases of the digestion varies and the number of samples that the digester can hold is taken in to account.
The instrument is constructed from ABS plastic, which is extremely resistant to corrosion and has a long life.
The JP pump operates extremely quietly and the continuous recirculation of the water in the tank means that, as well as saving water, the pump is not reliant on tap water availability or tap water pressure.
The unit is extremely compact and portable, thanks to the moulded handles, and can generate a very high air flow (up to 35l/min).
