The SMS Scrubber is designed to completely neutralise corrosive and toxic fumes during Kjeldahl's digestions, or other standard wet digestions, in accordance with standard analytical procedures for food, feed and environmental analysis: AOAC, EPA, DIN, ISO When connected to the JP jet pump, the SMS Scrubber becomes part of a system that very efficiently removes and neutralises fumes generated from digestions, using the DK 6 and DK 20 digesters, without the necessity of a fume hood

The SMS Scrubber unit, thanks to its two stage configuration of condensation and chemical neutralisation, permits the complete removal and neutralisation of corrosive and toxic fumes passing through it.
In the first stage, the fumes are condensed by a condenser and are collected in the container below for efficient disposal.
In the second stage the remnant fumes are bubbled through a neutralising solution, resulting in complete neutralisation.
The instrument is safe and practical to use and works most efficiently when connected to the JP jet pump.
It is manufactured from very chemically resistant materials and has a variety of applications, from Kjeldahl digestions to acid or basic gases control.
The subsequent disposal of the solutions, avoiding emission of polluting substances to the environment, is very simple.
