LabSpeak is described as a revolutionary dictation solution, specifically designed to improve the turnaround time of reports dictated in a laboratory environment.
High quality dictation can be recorded, edited and prioritised and distributed for secretarial transcription using a totally hands-free procedure.
LabSpeak combines the voice recognition software Dragon NaturallySpeaking and the Lexacom digital dictation management software.
The Lexacom interface is controlled either by voice via a wireless headset microphone, or by the optional waterproof footswitch.
VoicePower has developed this system in conjunction with Birmingham Heartlands Hospital pathology department.
Dictation is recorded totally hands-free in high quality digital audio, reducing the risk of misinterpretation.
The created dictation is automatically sent through the computer network for immediate transcription - so no more lost tapes.
The fully featured dictation management software improves workflow and efficiency by immediately delivering prioritised dictations to predetermined transcriptionists, thus improving turnaround time of reports.
