Parametric-based searches locate products by a wide number of parameters to help customers find exactly the items they need faster and easier, streamlining purchasing and research efforts.
Search results can be further refined using the new Search Results Comparison tool to produce a feature-by-feature comparison table of a range of products.
According to VWR, parametric searching is especially useful for sourcing life science equipment and supplies, where items need to be chosen based on a matrix of research requirements and matched with specific protocols.
"With our new parametric search technology, our site becomes an even more invaluable tool for our customers," says Paul Cannon, VWR's vice president of marketing and content.
"Customers are continually asking us for ways to help improve their productivity.
This search capability will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to search, find, evaluate, and select products.
Coupled with our richer content, parametric searching provides accurate search results, increasing customer confidence in their purchase decisions.
