Better sterility with BioBarb
peristaltic fittings

Peristaltic pump manufacturer Watson-Marlow Bredel has developed BioBarb, a range of disposable tube fittings for hygienic pumping that eliminate the risk of cross-contamination during media transfer

The BioBarb range completes Watson-Marlow Bredel's sterile pumping package and includes connectors, end caps and clamps, available in a choice of sizes to ensure product integrity from source to delivery The connector's inner diameter is identical to that of the tube to provide an unimpeded path, while its oversized single barb design provides secure tube adhesion that can be re-enforced using clamps or cable ties if desired

The disposable nature eliminates the need for cleaning and therefore maximises uptime.

Mike Sullivan, Watson-Marlow Bredel says: "Our new range of BioBarb fittings allow us to support the growing demand for disposable components, ensuring sterility throughout the transfer process and providing the perfect solution for clean-room environments".

Manufactured using DMF-listed polypropylene, the connectors comply with FDA and USP Class VI test protocols.

Similarly, the clamps are produced using glass-reinforced nylon compliant with USP Class VI.

Permanent moulded lot and size identification on the connectors ensures accurate traceability and enables correct usage. Request a free brochure from Watson-Marlow Bredel Pumps ...
