Gas chromatograph is sensitive stable and easy

A Yokogawa product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Mar 29, 2006

The new GC1000 Mark II from Yokogawa UK is a process gas chromatograph incorporating a number of new developments that make it exceptionally stable, sensitive and easy to use

Key features of the new GC1000 Mark II process gas chromatograph from Yokogawa UK include a HMI (human-machine interface) which provides easy operation via user-friendly 'plain English' displays, a stable gas regulator installed in the isothermal oven, long-life liquid injection valves, and a high-sensitivity thermal conductivity detector.

The ability to perform discrete separation and positive identification of components and measurement of the composition without interference makes the GC1000 ideally suited to monitoring and analysis in a wide range of industries.

The GC1000 is supplied as standard with an isothermal oven to maintain a constant temperature environment in which the chromatography takes place.

For applications where different temperatures are required at different stages of the chromatography process, a temperature-programmable oven can also be fitted.

The instrument is capable of analysing high boiling point samples, with the tight seal of the liquid sampling valve providing highly accurate liquid sampling.

It can also accurately analyse samples over a very wide range of boiling points using the programmed temperature oven.

The GC1000 also has the ability to analyse Piona (paraffins, isoparaffins, olefins, naphthalenes and aromatics) and distillation points with the addition of high-resolution capillary columns.
