Enhanced functionality for waveform
measuring
Instruments combine oscilloscope and chart recorder functions in a single unit, featuring 16 isolated analogue inputs and 16 logic inputs
Yokogawa has introduced a new version of its DL750 ScopeCorder waveform measuring instrument, the DL750P, which offers enhanced recorder functionality by the use of a built-in A4 thermal printer At the same time, the company has released two new universal measuring modules for the DL750 ScopeCorder family, the 701261 and 701262, incorporating both voltage and temperature management functions

Data-acquisition system offers high channel count
The new MV200 from Yokogawa, with its large (10.4 inch) colour TFT screen, is a high-channel-count data-acquisition system that is equally suited to mobile or benchtop use.
Yokogawa's DL750 ScopeCorder instruments, which combine oscilloscope and chart recorder functions in a single unit, feature 16 isolated analogue inputs and 16 logic inputs.
The oscilloscope function is used to observe waveforms at high speeds, and the chart recorder function is used to observe them over long periods of time.
The A4 printer used in the DL750P records all channels together with 1600-dot vertical resolution and 200mm print width, allowing the instrument to be used in exactly the same way as a normal chart recorder, with chart speed, chart length and other settings being set from a menu accessed via a front-panel recorder key.

More oscilloscope for your money
Yokogawa claims a price/performance breakthrough with the introduction of a new two-channel instrument in the SignalExplorer family of compact, high-performance digital oscilloscopes
With a print speed of 20 mm/s, an A4 sheet is printed in about 15 seconds.
During real-time printing, the DL750P automatically records the waveforms to memory in the background, allowing up to 10 metres or 1000 divisions to be saved.
Once measurement is completed, the user can change the print format, length or other parameters and print the data again.
The DL750P also functions as an oscilloscope with a one-gigaword instantaneous GigaZoom function for viewing multi-channel data with high resolution, which means that the user can select only those portions of the display that are of interest for printing.
Up to four pairs of waveforms can be viewed and printed at the same time, and a dedicated recording mode is available which emulates the operation of an X/Y recorder.
The addition of two universal measuring modules to the DL750 series, which brings the total number of modules available to eleven, eliminates the requirement for separate plug-in modules to measure voltage and temperature.
The new 701261 and 701262 universal measuring modules each offer two isolated inputs, which can be used for either voltage, with a sampling rate of 100 kilosamples per second at 16 bits, or temperature, with a sampling rate of 500 samples per second.
The voltage range is from 20V to 5mV per division, while the temperature input will operate with all standard thermocouple types.
The two modules differ only in the addition of an anti-aliasing filter (with three ranges of 4kHz, 400Hz and 40Hz) to the 701262.
Typical applications include research, development and manufacturing of electrical equipment used by large-scale plants in such industries as steel and electrical power generation; field testing on railway rolling stock, cars and other vehicles; and the evaluation of electronic components for mechatronic systems.
