Specialist barrier cream has been developed to protect laboratory staff against the hazards of their daily environment, especially with regards to bacterial infection

Many laboratory personnel are exposed, knowingly or unknowingly, to a wide range of reagents, chemicals and irritants during their working day In addition there are the dangers of exposure to cross infections from external sources which are often untraceable

Clinical trials at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust, where 102 staff took part, have shown there was a significant reduction in bacteria when ProShield Lab was applied to their hands and sustained when tested three hours later.

ProShield Lab has been developed to protect staff against the hazards of their daily environment, especially with regards to bacterial infection.

The antibacterial properties react immediately with any bacteria present and the waterproof barrier protects the skin for up to four hours.

In addition Proshield Lab has shown to be suitable for people who have had problems with allergies to latex gloves, contact dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.
