Metal products for advanced chromatography
Mott Corporation
Mott Corporation is offering a range of column frits, inline filters, and gas flow restrictors for the chromatography market.
Applications using porous metal products include inline filters for equipment protection, column frits, flow restrictors (laminar flow) for gas control, pump inlet filters, discs used in regenerative dryers, and filters for guard columns.
Mott works with customers in supplying product in 316L stainless steel and titanium, although many other alloys are available for more challenging environments.
It also collaborates with customers to integrate hardware or fittings and can help to develop new products or designs to meet specific application requirements.
The unique nature of the porous structures coupled with the attributes of metal alloys provide higher strength, higher temperature and corrosion resistance, along with multiple flow paths, for a material ideally suited for extreme applications.
Additional benefits of the material include thermal conductivity, vibration suppression, and sound absorption.
