Laser discharge ceramic capacitor
Laser discharge ceramic capacitor uses a strontium-titanate based dielectric material, which exhibits a negligible piezoelectric/electrostrictive effect
Morgan Electro Ceramics, a manufacturer of electro ceramicmaterial solutions, has developed a high voltage laser dischargeceramic capacitor for superior functionality in circuits withhigh peak current and repetition rates.
The capacitors are idealfor gas lasers, high energy pulsed power supplies, DC powersupplies, lightning arrestors and X-ray power supplies.
MorganElectro Ceramics's laser discharge ceramic capacitor uses astrontium-titanate based dielectric material, which exhibits anegligible piezoelectric/electrostrictive effect.
This allows itto be used in high peak current/high shot life applications, including those found in gas lasers and other high energy pulsedpower systems.
It also offers low dielectric loss resulting inlow self-heating when used in high power/high repetition ratecircuits.
Additionally, the high breakdown strength/highpermittivity of the material allows for storage of high energydensity per unit volume.
This high energy density is maintainedover the rated working voltage and temperature range by thedielectric's low capacitance/voltage coefficient and lowtemperature coefficient.
