Yokogawa

pH and conductivity analysers

Yokogawa's new Exaxt 150 Series of pH and conductivity analysers dramatically cut installation and set-up time using an innovative integral mounting system and simple termination.

Designed for OEMs and set builders, Yokogawa's new Exaxt 150Series of pH and conductivity analysers dramatically cutinstallation and set-up time using an innovative integralmounting system and simple termination.

The compact 96 x 96 mmconfiguration allows exceptionally high panel density, with verylittle room needed behind the panel.

Waterproof sealing is toIP65, and a flip-top transparent cover is fitted to keep thedisplay clean.

Straightforward mounting is ensured by a uniquebuilt-in fixing system, which, together with removable terminalconnections, will halve installation time.

The first twoinstruments in the new range are the pH150, which willsimultaneously measure and control both pH and ORP (redox) inprocess and waste water, and the SC150, for measuring andcontrolling specific conductivity.

The new Exaxt 150 Series isbased on the industry-leading analyser technology used inYokogawa's established field-mountable EXA Series ofinstruments, with the addition of enhanced diagnostic featuresand a unique touch-screen interface with a backlit VGA graphicalliquid-crystal display.

The touch-screen interface providessimple, intuitive configuration and display facilities, includingthe reading of primary and secondary values, real-time trendgraphing of process variables, diagnostics, event logbooks, andconfiguration data.

The pH/ORP and conductivity analysers arefitted with two mA outputs as standard for transmission orcontrol of the measurement parameters.

The transmitted or controlparameters for the pH/ORP unit may be pH, ORP or temperature.

Theconductivity unit can transmit or control conductivity, resistivity, percentage concentration, or temperature.

Two relaycontacts can be used for alarms or as control signals withfrequency or pulse-width-modulating switching, and all controlsettings are fully configurable.

HART communication and PIDcontrol functions are included as standard.

Other features of thenew devices include comprehensive, easy-to-use calibrationroutines, temperature-compensation functions, and global buffertables.

The combination of high performance, ease of installationand compactness makes the new analysers ideally suited to therequirements of equipment manufacturers and machine buildersserving application sectors such as water supply, wastetreatment, food and drink and semiconductor processing.
