Increased range of viscosity tools from Meritics
Meriticscontact supplier
Meritics now offers a range of laboratory viscosity measuring products for the UK market.
The manufacturer’s RM 100 range of digital viscometers claim to offer ease of use and accuracy combined in a compact and robust instrument.
RM 100 viscometers work by analysing the unit motor’s absorbed power compensation to maintain a constant speed, providing an immediate reading and output on the device’s display screen.
The springless design of the RM 100 allows it to deliver greater reliability and accuracy than spring-based viscosity measurement devices — particularly when dealing with thixotropic samples — and can also mean reduced maintenance and calibration costs.
The RM 100 offers a measurement range of 1 to 510,000,000 mPa.s and, unlike most similar products, doesn’t tie viscosity measurement to the lab.
Variants include a portable model which offers up to 1 hour’s continuous on-site operation, and an industrial model which boasts a continuous output of 4 to 20 mA.
Also available from Meritics is the ‘Black One’ — another springless viscosity meter that has seen use in a variety of applications including the food, construction, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Fully compliant with ISO 2555, this type of viscosity measurement equipment features an operating range of 20 to156,000,000 mPa.s and offers direct output of viscosity, time, speed and torque measurements.
